Senior Telecommunications Technician - Emergency Services (P25)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Radio Network Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical role in the maintenance and support of our Emergencies Services Radio P25 System.

Responsibilities:

• Installation, commissioning and maintenance of radio network infrastructure, including Motorola, RFI, Cisco Routers and Eltek DC controllers.
• Diagnosing cavity filter performance and retuning it as required.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on radio network equipment.
• Utilise Anritsu LMR Master and Copper Mountain TR test kits for testing and commissioning.
• Perform commissioning and cutover activities under outage conditions.
• Train team members in a collaborative and flexible environment.
• Review and create Method of Procedures (MOPs) prior to construction as required.
• Maintain professional communication with customers and contractors.
• Travel frequently to various sites across Victoria.

Skills and experience:

• Proven experience working on radio networks, ideally in Emergencies Services Radio P25 System.
• Strong understanding of Motorola, RFI, Cisco Routers and Eltek DC controller equipment.
• Experience in diagnosing cavity filter performance and retuning.
• Proficiency in using Anritsu LMR Master and Copper Mountain TR test kits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
